Program Description: As behavioral health changes, we have to adjust our approaches to assessment and the prescription process.  This training will review the medial model of assessment and explore the agency's approach to completing the DA process effectively.

Goals:

Obtain an understanding of the diagnostic assessment process.

Objectives:

Identify the purpose of the medical model framework

Utilize assessment skills to obtain a clear picture of the client

Complete a treatment prescription

Part One-Clinical Interview

Medical Model Framework for Assessment (8:45-9:30 am)

Registration and Screening (9:30-10:30 am)

Break

Completing Psycho-Social Intake (10:45 am-12:00 pm)

Break

Part Two-Supporting Documentation

Outcomes and Creating a Client Centered Medically Necessary ISP (12:45 pm-1:00 pm)

Treatment Prescription and CANS (1:00 pm-1:45 pm)

Case Note and Building Hope and Relationships and First Therapy Appointment (1:45-2:00)

Part Three-Application

Practice Interview Roleplay (2:15-3:30)

Implementation Plan and Evaluation (3:45-4:00)
