Program Description:
As professionals, we like to get paid for the services we provide. In the current environment, this means that providers must understand how to interact with insurance carriers. This means we must understand the culture of the insurance system and ensure that our clinical practice is responsive to the demands of this system. This workshop is designed to help providers and support staff gain a general understanding of the insurance industry and will introduce basic concepts for interacting with that system.
Goals:
Gain an understanding of the insurance industry
Gain and understanding of how to interact with the insurance system
Objectives:
Participants will be able to identify the role of insurance in the healthcare industry
Participants will be able to utilize terms and constructs relevant to the insurance industry.
