Program Description: This training will review concepts of Aggression Management and AOD Specialized Treatment Programs.

Goals:

  • Understand the curriculum of the Aggression Management and AOD programs
  • Introduce concepts of higher level of care (BIP and IOP)
  • Provide direction to increase coordination of services with community systems and appropriate referrals

Objectives:

  • Participants will understand the concepts of anger and substance use, and will be able to identify when they become problematic
  • Participants will be able to explain the etiology of violent behavior, risk factors, and common diagnoses
  • Participants will successfully explain the components of the SAMHSA Anger Management Program and AOD special program.
