Workshop Description: Discipline can be confusing, frustrating, and difficult to determine if it's being done right. This parenting workshop will provide you with the skills to utilize positive disciplining techniques and help create an environment which fosters connection and respect between you and your children.
Goals:
•Learn methods to encourage children to grow from problematic behaviors
•Explore how discipline methods can differ and why positive discipline methods are beneficial to developing life skills.
Objectives:
- Identify future characteristics and life skills wanted for children
- Identify the purpose of positive discipline methods
- Participate in experiential activities to foster positive discipline methods
Target Audience: parents, stepparents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, foster parents, kinship parents and guardians, legal guardians, caretakers, etc.
